Year 6: Rome Caravaggio Tour
13th November 2017
How privileged we are to have such enthusiastic, knowledgeable and giving parents!
What Year 6 parent, Chris Daley doesn't know about the rich history of our stunning city, is probably not worth knowing! We thank Chris for enthusiastically guiding us through Rome's streets and churches and sharing his expertise with us on a whole range of relevant subjects.
The main focus was Caravaggio, whose masterpieces in the churches of Sant' Agostino, Santa Maria del Popolo and San Luigi dei Francesi provided us with examples of how this turbulent character of the baroque pioneered the chiaroscuro technique.
The other parents who accompanied helped to ensure the trip was a safe one and we thank them for their pleasant company!
