23rd May 2018
On Friday 18th May, Years 3 and 4 went to the centre of Rome, to the Palatine Hill and the Forum. There, we met our guide Daniela, who organised a hunting game (treasure hunt), to play. We were divided into two groups, Lions and Wolves, and after answering questions, we had to find clues and matching monuments. We found out that the statue of Constantine’s horse (outside the Temple of Jupiter), was not lifting his leg up to move, but used to have a Barbarian’s head under it! Also, that the bee was the symbol of one of the Popes from the Barberini family.
We had an awesome day, even though the sun was beating down on us!
