Term 3 Computing students at the New School Rome have been thinking, working, and coding in three dimensions. Using the Blender 3D modelling software, students as young as Year 6 were tasked with animating a whole host of scenes, including cuboid trees, polygonal snowmen, and their own names. They applied a myriad of techniques involving lighting, texturing and z-axis manipulation, and they were tasked with creating a new, animated logo for the New School Rome. The pick of the projects are featured here - as usual our students stepped up and produced some outstanding work, and they learned a great deal about 3D design and spatial awareness along the way.
