Years 3, 4 and 5 visited the Chiostro del Bramante, in Rome's historic centre, to see the exhibition featuring the life and work of MC Escher. We participated in a workshop where we tessellated shapes in the style of the artist and investigated how he created his famous optical illusions. The exhibition finished in a mirrored room, in which we were dazzled by all our many reflections! The metamorphosis of both the artist and his work was captivating!
