New School Rome Christmas Appeal

30th November 2015

Students at The New School Rome are busy raising money for a refugee centre in Rome in the run up to Christmas. The 'centro astalli' (centroastalli.it/) centre in Rome helps incoming refugees. Earlier this month representatives from the centre delivered a special assembly to students in Year 6-13. During this assembly students heard the harrowing story of one twenty year old refugee who is now living and working in Rome after having to leave Afghanistan. Students are raising money through a series of charity events including bake sales, raising money through hot chocolate sales and there might even be a drum-a-thon in the run up to Christmas!
