Griffin before the action

The first goal came out of a counter attack when the goalkeeper pressured Ellis, but whilst he did so, Ellis shot and scored in the bottom left hand corner.

After a couple of minutes Ellis scored again from the rebound of a penalty with a really powerful shot, again in the same bottom left hand corner.

The whistle was blown and the Griffin hockey team cheered and sang with their fans. With this victory Griffin declared themselves joint 1st in the league with the Unicorn hockey team; both with three points.

This Tuesday, Unicorn play Dragon. Dragon, desperate to win their first match, will try to stop Unicorn increasing their lead at the top of the league table.
