The New School Rome's annual Design & Technology Challenge was as fascinating as ever!
Primary children of varying ages worked together, planning, constructing and testing their contraptions.
In Key Stage 1, the house groups (Phoenix, Griffin, Unicorn and Dragon) competed with each other in order to help Red Riding Hood deliver real eggs to her not-so-real grandmother.
Key Stage 2 were given the challenge of safely landing eggs (again, real) on the ground, after being dropped from a height of over 5 metres.
Teachers say they were impressed with the achievements of the children, but also with their methodology and approach to cooperative learning.
