11th February 2018
This year’s winter trip to Croatia started with 18 determined and ambitious young people and ended with
as many resilient and developed young adults.
Having braved conditions and attempted physical activities that would challenge even the most seasoned outdoors explorer, each and every one of the group searched deep within themselves to gain invaluable, transferable life skills.
As our Year 12 and 13 groups prepare to embark on the next stage of their lives this week will be an invaluable and unforgettable experience for all.
In a week that was full of tears, laughter, hail, snow and fire, there were so many stories created that will live in New School memories. Adding to the value of the Outward Bound experience is that all of the Duke of Edinburgh award candidates have now satisfied the Expedition requirements, meaning they are ready to apply for their respective Bronze and Silver awards.
The next adventure for the older members of our student community is just about to begin but with all of
this experience to draw from they are undoubtedly equipped for all that lies ahead.
